HIP Company presents Baroque music for Easter and Pentecost by J.S. Bach and contemporaries, performed by historical chamber orchestra with four of Perth’s finest vocalists.

Saturday 14th March: 7-8.15pm
Sunday 15th March: 2-3.15pm

Highlighting Bach’s sacred cantata Erwünschtes Freudenlicht (Light of Joy), the programme also features compositions by Pachelbel and Wilhelmine von Bayreuth. Together, these works tell the Christian story of Easter and Pentecost, celebrating Christ’s resurrection and the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.

Featuring singers Bonnie de la Hunty (soprano), Katie How (alto), Kieran Lynch (tenor), and Kris Bowtell (bass); Baroque flute soloist Robin Hillier, concertmaster Sarah Papadopoulos, and an ensemble of fellow leading period instrumentalists including flutes, strings, harpsichord and chamber organ.
