Handel’s Messiah (Brisbane)

  • Queensland Performing Arts Centre Melbourne Street South Brisbane, QLD, 4101 Australia (map)

The festive season in Queensland does not truly begin until the glorious sound of Handel’s Messiah fills the Concert Hall at QPAC, and in 2025, this beloved tradition continues.

Under the direction of Dr Graeme Morton AM, the Brisbane Chamber Choir, Brisbane Chamber Players and guest soloists, bring Handel’s masterwork to life in a performance that promises both majesty and intimacy.

From the stirring overture to the triumphant “Hallelujah Chorus”, Messiah remains one of the most enduring and uplifting works of the classical repertoire, a celebration of beauty, drama and joy.

Founded in 1997, the Brisbane Chamber Choir is one of Australia’s leading vocal ensembles. Comprising auditioned singers from diverse musical backgrounds, the choir is renowned for its versatility, performing repertoire that spans centuries – from Renaissance to contemporary works – with a special dedication to Australian composition. The choir is also committed to fostering the development of emerging choral singers, conductors and composers, in the creation and performance of world class choral music.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the splendour of Handel’s Messiah, performed by some of Queensland’s finest musicians.
